Publicis Group announced the acquisition of the Argentinean media agency Brand Connection. The agency will be now working with ZenithOptimedia and will be part of Vivaki, with all the other Publicis´agencies. Fernando Alvarez Colombres remains as CEO of Brand Conection, reporting to Sergio Lorca, CEO of ZenithOptimedia Iberia and Latin America and Guillermo Tafet, CEO of Vivaki Latin America.

Tim Harris is the new Executive VP of Global Innovation for McCann Erickson. Harris has previously worked for Publicis for more than a decade. The executive will report to Matt Freeman, Global Chief Innovation Officer.

DDB Spain has appointed José María Rull as President and CEO. Angel Riesgo, who was at the position at the time, will be the new Chairman and President of the Administration Board. Santiago Muñoz, Financial Director and José María Roca de Viñals, Creative Director are also members at the Board.

Doug Baker, formerly chief financial officer at Discovery Networks International (DNI) has been promoted to the position of executive vice-president and CFO. He is responsible for leading all financial aspects of DNI, including oversight of regional CFOs in western Europe, CEEMEA, Latin America and Asia Pacific.

Willis Group Holdings announced the appointment of Luis Maurette as Regional Chief Executive Officer or CEO of its Latin American operations. Maurette joins Willis from Liberty Seguros Brazil, where he served as President and CEO for the last 10 years. Seth Peller was named CEO, Willis Argentina in September, signaling a push for further growth in the region.

John Falcone, President and CEO of Sennheiser Electronic Corporation, Old Lyme CT, will be promoted to the position of Vice President Sales, Americas. In his new position Falcone will head business in the entire Americas region, encompassing the United States, Canada and Latin America.

Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. has announced the appointment of Rafael Febres-Cordero as Head of the Firm’s Latin American Wealth Management business.
