raju_narisetti_-_international_journalism_festival_2015Univision announced that digital media executive and veteran editor Raju Narisetti has been named Chief Executive Officer for Gizmodo Media Group (GMG), the former Gawker Media Group and a unit within the company’s Fusion Media Group (FMG).  Gawker Media  was recently acquired by Univision. As CEO, he will be responsible for managing all business and editorial operations for the Gizmodo Media Group, home to brands focused on technology (Gizmodo), car culture (Jalopnik), contemporary women’s interests (Jezebel), sports (Deadspin), lifestyle (Lifehacker), and gaming (Kotaku).Narisetti, who will be based at GMG headquarters in New York, will report to Isaac Lee, Chief News, Digital and Entertainment Officer of UCI, and Felipe Holguin, President and Chief Operating Officer of FMG. Heather Detrick, President of GMG, John Cook, Executive Editor, and Courtenay O’Connor, GMG Deputy General Counsel, will all report directly to Narisetti. He will formally join Gizmodo Media Group in late October.

descargaTelemundo 39 Dallas-Fort Worth / KXTX announced that Ramón Díaz and Teresa González will anchor the station’s new half-hour weekday newscast that will debut on Monday, September 26 at 4 PM.

Zapata has worked as a video journalist for KXTX since 2013 and will take over the anchor desk during the weekends, a role that González has held since she joined the KXTX news team in 2014.

She had previously served as Global Director of Strategy at MRM//McCann, a McCann Worldgroup company. Stolarz worked across Latin America and then in the U.S. as the digital strategy leader, both at major general-market and Hispanic agencies, while also earning her M.A. in Media Studies focused on the sociology of media. She joined MRM//McCann in 2013, leading the U.S. East (New York and Princeton) strategy team. In her new role as Global Chief Strategy Officer, she will be an integral part of the MRM//McCann worldwide leadership team, also working closely with Suzanne Powers, McCann Worldgroup’s Global Chief Strategy Officer.
