Entravision Communications Corporation, a diversified media company serving U.S. Latinos, announced the appointment of Jaime Jiménez to Senior Vice President of Integrated Marketing Solutions (SVP-IMS), Los Angeles, CA, effective immediately.Jaime Jiménez will be responsible for selling Entravision’s media and marketing solutions across the company’s radio and digital properties in the Los Angeles market, including: Jose FM broadcasting on KDLD-FM, KDLE-FM, KLYY-FM, and Super Estrella broadcasting on KSSE-FM, KSSD-FM, and KSSC-FM stations, as well as Indie 103.1 – an online radio property. Jiménez will work with both the national and local sales teams. Jiménez will report directly to Eddie Melendez, Executive Vice President of Integrated Marketing Solutions (EVP-IMS), Western Region.
iHeartMedia announced it has joined forces with Hispanic radio legend Enrique Santos of Magnus Media to develop Hispanic multi-platform initiative that will leverage iHeartMedia’s reach of more than a quarter of a billion listeners monthly. Under this new alliance, Santos will magnify his broadcast and digital media presence through iHeartMedia’s industry-leading assets and reach. In addition, Santos will become Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of iHeartLatino, iHeartMedia’s new Hispanic platform.Beginning in October, Santos will anchor iHeartMedia’s new Spanish-language station TÚ 94.9, which launched at 12 p.m. Friday, September 9. In addition, Santos’ show will be syndicated by Premiere Networks on Spanish-speaking stations across the U.S. beginning in October.Born to Cuban parents in Chicago, Illinois, Santos gravitates fluidly between the Hispanic and mainstream American radio landscapes.
Telemundo 39 Dallas-Fort Worth / KXTX announced that Analía Fiestas and Andrea Aguirre Alvarado have been named Video Journalists. Fiestas made her on-air debut in August and is reporting for the station’s weekday newscast, Noticiero Telemundo 39 at 4:30 PM and 5 PM. Alvarado will report for the KXTX’s weekend newscast, Noticiero Telemundo 39 Fin de Semana at 4:30 and 10 PM and will make her on-air debut on September 14.
Fiestas, a native of Peru, joined Telemundo 39 after working as a news reporter associate for the Telemundo Station Group’s Miami bureau since 2015.
