NBC UNIVERSO announced production executive Fernando Gastón is joining the company as Vice President of Production and Development. In this new role, he will be responsible for the development and execution of production strategy that will drive ratings growth and further the channel’s brand. Gastón will report to Bilai Joa Silar, Senior Vice President of Programming and Production for NBC UNIVERSO.Gastón will participate in the assessment and development of entertainment properties, and contribute in tactical and strategic discussions for the channel. In addition to fostering relationships within the creative community, he will work closely with other departments to develop programming goals and oversee the production staff on creative ideation, development and execution.He previously served as Senior Vice President of content for MTV/VH1/Comedy Central Latin America, under Viacom International Media Networks.
Telemundo Las Vegas / KBLR has launched a new consumer investigative unit: Telemundo Responde (Telemundo Responds). Charged with standing up for consumers who have been wronged, Telemundo Las Vegas’ new Telemundo Responde consumer investigative unit will answer inquiries from local viewers who fear they may have been wronged in any way. Telemundo Las Vegas joins 12 Telemundo-owned stations that already feature a local Telemundo Responde consumer investigative unit that is helping to resolve consumer issues. Antonio Rodriguez will be KBLR’s new Consumer Investigative Reporter and he will lead the station’s new Telemundo Responde unit. The first Telemundo Responde report will air today on the station's local weekday evening newscasts,Noticiero Telemundo Las Vegas at 5:30 PM, 6 PM and 11 PM.Rodriguez joins Telemundo Las Vegas after working for various local television stations in the Southwest for nearly two decades.
LBI Media, Inc. has appointed Marco Antonio Gonzalez as New VP, Public Relations and Corporate Affairs, effective July 13, 2016.Gonzalez will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy for LBI Media, Inc., and will also be responsible for handling all community affairs and media relations efforts. Gonzalez will report to the chief operating officer of company, Winter Horton.

Saatchi Chairman Kevin Roberts has Resigned after gender comments, effective Sept. 1. Roberts issued a statement in which he offered an apology. At 66, Roberts was facing retirement in May 2017, but his departure comes a bit more prematurely.
