Telemundo Denver / KDEN has announced that Melissa Sandoval has been named Multimedia Journalist for Noticiero Telemundo Denver, which airs weekdays at 4:30 PM, 5 PM and 10 PM. Sandoval, who made her on-air debut on June 20, joins News Anchors Pamela Padilla and Carlos Rausseo, Weather Anchor Ariel Rivera Vázquez and an enterprising news team to help deliver the local news and up-to-the-minute information that affects Spanish-speaking viewers throughout Denver and the state of Colorado.Sandoval joins Telemundo Denver from Univision 23 Miami / WLTV, where she worked as a multimedia journalist covering community empowerment stories through digital platforms since 2015. Prior to this, Sandoval worked as a freelancer at MundoMax Miam / WGEN for a year and reported local stories for the station’s local newscast. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Florida International University.
Edelman Miami appointed Yazmine Esparza as Senior Account Supervisor of Miami’s Corporate practice, expanding its U.S. Hispanic team, HispanicPR Blog reports. Esparza will help drive Edelman’s corporate global business, while advancing the firm’s expertise in the U.S. Hispanic demographic.Most recently, she worked at one of Miami’s top Hispanic shops, where she expanded her public relations experience to include media planning, digital and production management. Previously, Esparza was part of Ogilvy Washington’s Corporate & Public Affairs Group.
Global communications firm Clarity Media Group has chosen New York-based communications strategists David Puente and Juliana Silva to head the global expansion of the company’s media training, presentation coaching and message development services in English and Spanish across the U.S. Hispanic, Latin American and European spaces, effective immediately.
Silva has held communications positions at various broadcast network companies, including Time Warner, Turner Broadcasting Entertainment Latin America, CBS, and CNN.
Puente has worked with human resources teams at leading media companies including Disney and Time Warner.
Susan Lundgren has been appointed senior vice president, communications for CBS Interactive.
Santa Monica agency Orcí has appointed Luiz Salles as senior vice president, head of strategic planning and Susan Page as senior vice president, strategic partnerships.
DigitasLBi San Francisco has Appointed New Creative Lead: Carlos Ricque was appointed senior vice president, creative. Ricque will relocate from DigitasLBi’s New York office and replace Eric Dean. Before joining DigitasLBi, Ricque spent three years at Moxie Interactive, as a group creative director and then executive creative director.
