Agency Niña, led by Pablo Alvarez Travieso, Gonzalo Vecino and Pablo Panigatti, has added Sofia Pisani Agote who will serve, along with Augustin Remaggi, as account director. Sofía recently worked as Director of Accounts at Del Campo Saatchi & Saatchi for clients like Mondelez –working for Milka and Beldent-, InBev –for Andes & Norte, Audi, Sony, AXN, among others. Previously, she worked for 361 Argentina.
Jorge Guglielmone, CEO of Mindshare in Latin America, announced the appointment of Lilia Barroso as Chairwoman and Tonatiuh Hernandez as CEO, both for Mindshare Mexico.
Barroso currently serves as CEO of GroupM and Mindshare in the country. Barroso will be tasked with helping growth and strengthen the image of Mindshare in Mexico.
Hernandez was in charge of Arena and Forward within Havas Group. Hernandez will control operations, manage equipment, services and clients.
Asociación de Agencias de Medios (AM) (The Media Agencies Association) has selected its new board of directors at a meeting in Bilbao. Rafael Urbano, CEO of Ymedia, became president of the organization, while Beatriz Delgado, CEO of Mindshare, and Rafael Calleja, CEO of Havas Media, were appointed vice presidents.
Lantica Media, majority shareholder of Pinewood Studios Dominican Republic, has announced new executives appointments to expand the company:
Joaquin Blaya has been appointmented to its current Board Member as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors and Fred Medina as Chief Operating Officer.
Joaquín Blaya is a pioneer of Spanish-language media in the United States, widely known in the industry as a visionary, due to his contributions to the largest media companies in North America (Univision and Telemundo); as well as his involvement in the creation and development of new channels and programs, while working for the United States Broadcasting Board of Governors, whilst overseeing the renewed brand positioning of various BBG entities.
With an expansive media expertise in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market, and a wealth of experience in results driven leadership, Fred Medina has held senior roles with MTV Latino, HBO Latin American Group, E! Entertainment, A&E Olé Networks, Univision and Ericsson Telecommunications. Prior to joining Lantica Media, Medina was the Executive Vice-President and Managing Director for BBC Worldwide.In his newly created role of Chief Operating Officer, Medina is responsible for managing day-to-day studio operations and production services, supporting the company’s business strategy and financial objectives. Reporting to the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, he has now relocated from Miami to the Dominican Republic, where Lantica Media is headquartered, joining CEO Antonio Gennari and President of Lantica Pictures, Albert Martínez Martín.
Buenos Aires-based agency David announced new additions:
Belen Russomanno and Emilio Velez join the creative department, while Florencia Scrimaglia joins the accounts department and Juan Manuel Cuervo the production team.
Havas Brazilian subsidiary announced the appointment of Daniela Keller as director of brand and business of the Reckitt Benckiser account. Early in her career, shhe was marketing director of Ceval Alimentos. She also work for agencies such as Talent and F/Nazca S&S. She later held positions at Publicis and Red Fuse.
