Prior to Comcast Cable, he served as the General Manager of Yahoo’s U.S. Hispanic business and led monetization, partnerships and operations for the company’s premium media, programmatic, and native advertising businesses.

Ruiz will continue to report to Luis Silberwasser, President of the Telemundo Network, and will be based in Miami. Fernández, whose first day at KSTS will be Monday, April 4, will join Telemundo 48’s dynamic team of reporters to deliver live, local breaking news for the Bay Area’s Hispanic community alongside news co-anchors Blanca Garza and César Bayona, weather anchor Gabriella Dellán and sports anchor Gabriel Sotelo.Fernandez joins Telemundo 48 from Univision Communications.Nicaragua, Fernández launched her journalism career at Canal 2, a local television station in Nicaragua. Fernández recently moved from Miami, Florida and has relocated to San Jose, California.

She will lead a unified talent strategy across all divisions of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises.  She replaces Mario Ruiz who was recently named Senior Vice President of Music and Entertainment. Arakelian will report to Luis Silberwasser, President of the Telemundo Network, and will be based in Miami and Mexico.
