Cross-cultural marketing agency Pinta has recently named Yvette Regalado as Account Director of its New York City office. Regalado brings nearly a decade of experience in integrated Hispanic marketing in both New York and Miami.Previously, Regalado held positions at Edelman, d expósito & Partners, MGSCOMM and SiboneyUSA. In those roles, she managed multicultural initiatives for prominent national accounts such as MilkPEP, Dove, Claritin, Angel Soft and ConAgra.
Ruth Gaviria has joined Entercom Communications as Chief Marketing Officer, HispanicAd reports. Gaviria will report directly to Entercom’s President and CEO, David J. Field. Prior to Entercom, Gaviria was Executive Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Univision (UCI). Prior to UCI, Gaviria served as Vice President of Hispanic Ventures at Meredith Corporation.
Batanga Media, announced the appointment of two new executives in order to support the company’s growth and expanding client demand. Alexandre Jordao has been named to the newly created position of Chief Revenue Officer, Batanga Media, and Guillermo Abud joins Batanga Media as the Head of Global Business Development. Abud was previously was previously VP Digital Director, Head of Programmatic for Multicultural & Mediavest 42° Digital at Starcom MediaVest Group. He will be based in New York. Jordao is relocating to Miami from Sao Paulo (Brazil).
Juan A. Garcia has joined Spanish Broadcasting System, Inc. as Executive Vice President.Mr. Garcia’s duties will include developing and executing refinancing strategies for the Company.
Marcello Magalhaes has been appointed U.S. chief strategy officer at Leo Burnett. He was most recently a partner and VP strategic planning at Leo Burnett Tailor Made in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Before that he was head of planning at Ogilvy & Mather and has held other planning roles at Giovanni + DraftFCB, BrandThinkTank, Neogama BBH, Y&R Brands and Lowe. He succeeds Mick McCabe who was previously named glob chief strategy officer at Publicis Worldwide.
Michael Houston has been promoted to global president of Grey Group, after most recently serving as North America CEO. He will continue to oversee North America operations, but will add responsibility for Latin America, Asia-Pacific and Europe and the Middle East. Houston has been with Grey since 2007 and has also served as chief operating officer of Grey New York.
Apple executive Mike Pallad has been appointed chief revenue officer at Undertone, a division of Perion Network Ltd., a high-impact digital advertising solutions for brands. Pallad previously worked at Apple Music and iAd in a sales management role.
In addition, the ad-tech company has hired Diane Malloy as vice president of programmatic sales and strategy. Malloy comes from PubMatic where she was vice president of global media solutions.
Condé Nast has appointed Evan Adlman head of programmatic for the company, Mediapost reports. Adlman will be responsible for managing and growing the company’s programmatic offerings across all platforms for its portfolio of brands, which includes Vogue, Vanity Fair and The New Yorker.He will report to Lisa Valentino, SVP of Condé Nast Media Group and CRO of Condé Nast Entertainment.Most recently, Adlman served as vice president, publisher development, Americas at PubMatic.
Interpublic’s FCB has named new leadership for its New York office, Adage reports.
Karyn Rockwell, executive VP-global account director who oversees the Mondelez business at FCB and sibling shop the Martin Agency, will be the new New York CEO. Prior to FCB and Martin, Rockwell was chief collaborator at Co: Collective. She’s had roles at JWT, Leo Burnett, DDB and McCann Erickson, and has worked on brands such as Coca-Cola, Kimberly-Clark and the U.S. Army.
Ari Halper, most recently executive creative director at Grey New York, will be the new chief creative officer. Mr. Halper worked at WPP’s Grey New York, where he worked on clients including E-Trade, Canon and the American Egg Board
The new team replaces Lee Garfinkel, CEO, and Eric Cosper, chief creative officer. The shop will be called FCB New York.
New York-based agency Opperman Weiss has appointed Antonio Navas as creative partner to work with co-founders Paul Opperman and Jeff Weiss. Navas comes from Omnicom’s Nissan United, where he served as chief creative officer. Prior to that, he spent four years as executive creative director with Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand.
MullenLowe Profero, the digital arm of MullenLowe Group, has appointed Eric Andrade as head of delivery, Americas. Prior to MullenLowe Profero, Andrade was Executive Director, Operations at The Barbarian Group.
