Miami has a very special position in the Marketing and Media sector. The South Florida metropolis is oriented towards the U.S., U.S. Hispanic and Latin American markets. Such a multipronged orientation is unique, even in the heavily diverse U.S. multicultural markets. This richness needs to be reflected in the Advertising and Media world.  That is why it is so important to nominate for American Advertising Awards, formerly ADDY’s, at the Miami chapter of the AAF. banner-AAF-miami3The American Advertising Awards, formerly the ADDYs, is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local AAF Club (Ad Club) competitions. The mission of the American Advertising Awards competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising. The competition starts with a call-for-entries, followed by judging day and culminating with a Gala event where the winners are announced. NOMINATE FOR AAF AWARDS AT THE MIAMI CHAPTER!  

AAFAWardsConducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the local Ad Club phase is the first of a three-tier, national competition. Concurrently, all across the country, local entrants vie to win ADDY Awards—recognition as the very best in their markets. At the second tier, local ADDY winners compete against winners from other local clubs in one of 15 district competitions. District ADDY winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the national stage of the American Advertising Awards. Entry in your local Ad Club competition is the first step toward winning a national ADDY. NOMINATE FOR AAF AWARDS AT THE MIAMI CHAPTER!  

Industry Support

Entering the American Advertising Awards supports the entire advertising industry, because the AAF and its local and district affiliates use the proceeds to enhance advertising through programs such as public service, internships, advocacy groups, advertising education, and consumer awareness.

The Evaluation

Selection of the most creative entry in each category is affected by a scoring process in which a panel of judges evaluates all creative dimensions of every entry. A GOLD ADDY is recognition of the highest level of creative excellence and is judged to be superior to all other entries in the category. Entries that are also considered outstanding and worthy of recognition receive a SILVER ADDY. The number of awards given in each category is determined by the judges, based on the relative quality of work in that category.

The Miami Award Gala

The American Advertising Awards a.k.a. ADDY® Awards honor excellence in advertising and cultivate the highest creative standards in our industry. The ADDY® Gala will take place on March 9th at Briza. A cocktail reception precedes the Award presentation where all the ADDY® Gold winners and present Best of Show awards in the categories of Print, TV, Radio, Interactive and Student will be highlighed.
Following this presentation, dinner will be served and guests are welcome to network with their
colleagues.
Attendees at the ADDY® Awards Gala includes the who’s who of the Miami advertisingcommunity: marketing and communication professionals, advertising and marketing executives and corporate marketing executives. The 2016 Addy Awards Digital Winners Book

This publication will list the ADDY® Gold and Silver winners. More than 700 copies will be

AAF Miami

AAF Miami is a non-profit organization and the Southeast’s largest and most influential chapter of the American Advertising Federation. Membership includes many of the area’s most
influential communications firms, including agencies, PR firms, digital marketers, event
organizers, social media experts and others. In addition to hosting the prestigious ADDY award competition each winter, AAF Miami plan’s an annual series of approximately eight programs designed to educate, inspire and influence those engaged in the practice of communications and marketing. AAF Miami executes a pro bono advertising campaign for a different charitable organization each year, support the National Student Advertising Competition (2013 National Champion, University of Miami), and work diligently to build tomorrow’s leaders in the communications sector.
