FOTO ERIC Y AURELIOEric Descombes will head the supervision and strategic direction of FCB office in Mexico, in his new role as CEO. Descombes will replace Rafael Pérez, who headed the agency for nearly 14 years. After two years at McGraw-Hill Education as Managing Director for Latin America, Descombes returns to the world of advertising. With over 18 years of experience in advertising, he will continue to strengthen the presence of FCB in Mexico.Prior to joining McGraw-Hill Education, Descombes served as president of Young & Rubicam and Wunderman Mexico for seven years and spent also eight years at Ogilvy as CEO. He has worked with a wide variety of clients, such as IBM, SAP, Bimbo, Kraft, Danone, Ferrero, Sigma Alimentos, Pfizer, P & G, Unilever, Colgate, American Express, Banamex, HSBC, BBVA, Motorola, Movistar, Ford, Land Rover, Mattel, Expedia and Netflix. As new CEO, Descombes will be in charge of the FCB Mexico team which now works for clients such as: Compartamos Banco, Reebok, Church & Dwight, Beiersdorf, Autozone, Peñafiel, Campbell’s, Reckitt Benckiser and Bissu, FCB’S new business partner.

Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA LLC has announced that Mary Hughes has been appointed Director of Human Resources and Administrative Services, overseeing Human Resources strategy and operations for the company’s Americas Region, which includes the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. Hughes is a member of the company’s regional executive team and the human resources global leadership team. Previously, she was a Senior Manager of Human Resources.Hughes joined the company in 1998. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from Lake Superior State University in Sault Sainte Marie, Mich.

 

descarga (1)Ogilvy & Mather has appointed agency veteran John Seifert as new global CEO. Seifert, who has been with the WPP ad agency for 37 years, will succeed Miles Young. Mr. Seifert was most recently chairman and CEO of Ogilvy & Mather North America. He will be effective immediately. On Sept. 1, he will take on the additional title of worldwide chairman from Mr. Young, who will retain a nonexecutive role helping the agency with key global clients, the WSJ reports.Seifert joined the agency in 1979. Before running Ogilvy & Mather North America, he led a portfolio of 25 global clients.

 

descargaFlavio De Pauw has been appointed CEO of Ogilvy Brazil and he will replace Daniella Gallo, Adlatina reports. De Pauw was in AlmapBBDO as director of client services. Prior to AlmapBBDO, the executive worked for Leo Burnett Tailor Made, Y&R, Africa and Turner International.

 

 

 

 

Florencia_PereyraFlorencia Pereyra joins R/GA Buenos Aires as Executive Client Services Director. She will be in charge of helping the development of current customers and identifying new business opportunities. Florencia comes from Grey Argentina, where she was VP Client Services for the last 4 years. She worked at DDB Argentina and VegaOlmosPonce. She handled several accounts and regional projects. Pereyra also lead communication efforts for several brands like Disney, Unilever, Johnson&Johnson, Molinos Rio de la Plata, Philips, HSBC, Clorox, GSK, Coca-Cola and P&G brands, among others.

descarga (2)Carat has promoted executive client officer Fiona Lloyd to the newly-created role of network development officer for Carat Global.Lloyd spent over 10 years at Carat, joining the company from Mindshare. In her new role, She will report to Carat’s global president Will Swayne.
