Miguel Angel Chala has been appointed as Director of Strategy of New Business at Rabinovici & Associates, a South Florida Advertising and Integrated Marketing Agencies. He will report directly to Ester Rabinovici, Principal officer of the agency. His broad experience in media, publishing and business development will be the key to expand the global network of clients the agency has acquired succesfully during the past 15 years. Prior to joining this firm, Chala worked for Latin Trade Group, Televisa Publishing and BrandInk Media in Puerto Rico.
Vice Media has hired a former Discovery Communications executive to oversee the youth-focused media group’s international expansion, including a push into television.James Rosenstock has joined the Brooklyn-based company as executive vice-president for international and corporate development. At Discovery he oversaw a US$3bn portfolio of international deals, including the US TV company’s acquisitions of Eurosport and SBS Nordic. Mr Rosenstock also worked at Sony and Credit Suisse.
HH Global Ltd., an independent marketing services provider to brands in 28 countries, has announced that Pablo Borensztein has been promoted to Country Manager for Argentina.
In addition, Jose Nunes has been promoted to Client Operations Manager for Brazil.
Both promotions are effective October 1, 2015.
Axon, powered by Pro Mach, has announced that Jose Arroyo has been named the company’s new Latin American Support Manager. He will be responsible for sustaining the growth of Axon equipment sales and broadening aftermarket programs in Latin America. Axon is a leading manufacturer of fully automated, heat-shrink labeling, tamper-evident banding, and stretch-sleeving equipment. Prior to joining for Axon, Arroyo served as Senior Operations Manager for Vishay Precision Group. During his career in manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement, he held positions of increasing responsibility for Hospira, Challenge Printing, and Unilever, Inc. Arroyo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business and marketing from the University of Rhode Island.
Andrea Suárez is IPG Mediabrands‘ new CEO for Latin America.She was previously President, World Markets.As President, World Markets at IPG Mediabrands, Andrea became the first Latin American woman to reach a worldwide leadership position in the media agency industry. Today she is responsible for the development of 52 reporting units in 39 countries, in addition to other 50 affiliated offices across six continents with the task of reshaping the IPG Mediabrands networks, UM, Initiative and the newly launched BPN.Prior to her current position, Andrea became part of the first-ever cluster-oriented structure implemented by a media agency network, as Chief Operating Officer, World Markets at IPG Mediabrands. In merely a year since the creation of World Markets, the cluster won approximately a thousand new accounts worldwide and was bestowed with more than 80 international awards and recognitions during its first semester.Andrea joined the IPG Mediabrands family in 2009 as President of UM, Latin America, where she achieved outstanding business results, with more than 80 top advertisers joining the agency, including Chrysler, Microsoft, Direct TV, Falabella, Nextel, and Pizza Hut, among others.Prior to joining the IPG Mediabrands family, Andrea led the new business development unit at OMG Latin American.
Roberta Raggi has been appointed Headway Digital’s Peru new office sales representative.Raggi, who leads the team in that country, has a degree in Business Administration. His experience in the field of digital advertising nourished by its passage through recognized companies they worked before: Fox, i-network (Microsoft Advertising) and Peru.com.
