Acevedo comes from People en Español.com, where she was Deputy Executive Digital Editor.In addition to her editorial duties, Acevedo will also work directly with Marcus Reynaga, Head of Digital Sales, to provide solid editorial offerings and ensure continued traffic & revenue stream growth.

 has been appointed as Director of Strategy of New Business at Rabinovici & Associates, a South Florida Advertising and Integrated Marketing Agencies. He will report directly to Ester Rabinovici, Principal officer of the agency. His broad experience in media, publishing and business development will be the key to expand the global network of clients the agency has acquired succesfully during the past 15 years. Prior to joining this firm, Chala worked for Latin Trade Group, Televisa Publishing and BrandInk Media in Puerto Rico.

Vice Media has hired a former Discovery Communications executive to oversee the youth-focused media group’s international expansion, including a push into television.James Rosenstock has joined the Brooklyn-based company as executive vice-president for international and corporate development. At Discovery he oversaw a US$3bn portfolio of international deals, including the US TV company’s acquisitions of Eurosport and SBS Nordic. Mr Rosenstock also worked at Sony and Credit Suisse.

 

mWAUsmjI_400x400Tribune is  parting company with Austin Beutner, the publisher of the Los Angeles Times. Mr Beutner led Tribune’s US$85m acquisition of the San Diego Union-Tribune, a move that brought together the leading newspapers in California’s two largest cities. Beutner will be replaced by Tim Ryan, until recently publisher of The Baltimore Sun.

 

descargaUnited Continental Holdings, Inc. has named Oscar Munoz as president and chief executive officer. Munoz will also continue to serve on United’s board of directors. Munoz has worked for brands like AT&T, Pepsico and The Coca-Cola Company. He most recently served as president and chief operating officer of CSX Corporation. Munoz also served as a director at CSX. He has served on the board of directors for United Continental Holdings, Inc. since 2010 and served on the board of directors of Continental Airlines, Inc. since 2004.
