Juliette Austin, who headed up diversity hiring efforts for Buzzfeed, has left the company, Capital reports. Austin, who was said to be a popular colleague at Buzzfeed, served as global talent diversity and inclusion leader for a company that has made diversity hiring one of its top priorities.

He oversaw call center, chat and digital care operations, providing technical support for AT&T U-Verse video, broadband and narrowband solutions. Previously, Welday served as senior vice president, AT&T Consumer Self-Service and Sales. He is based in Dallas.

Mendoza to be NAHJ’s new executive director.Mendoza most recently served as the Regional Vice President with Jumpstart: Children First where he led the operations in California, Texas and Washington which served over 3300 children. He also served as the President and CEO of the Coalition for Clean Air, a California policy and advocacy organization, where he was the first Latino leader to run a statewide environmental organization.Born in Mexico, Mr. Mendoza was raised in Puerto Rico and San Diego and is fully bilingual. He will join NAHJ on a part-time basis on August 3rd and join full-time on September 1st.

Llenii Sandoval has been promoted to VP, Human Resource for NBCUniversal’s Hispanic Enterprises.She will continue to be based in Miami and report to Enrique Caballero, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Hispanic Enterprises and Content.In her new role, Sandoval, who was formerly Human Resources Director, will act as an internal consultant for delivery of team building activities across the organization and will oversee employee onboarding, benefits communication, payroll transactions and other administrative developmentsSandoval will also aid in the development of the leadership pipeline, employee value propositions and branding, along with employee survey response strategies. Additionally, she will provide HR support for NBC UNIVERSO, NBC Deportes and local corporate functions. Sandoval first joined the company in 1996. Sandoval holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Human Resources Management Certificate from University of California, Los Angeles.

She will be in charge of leveraging FNG’s media assets across its domestic and international properties to develop customized marketing solutions for advertisers. Maged was most recently a strategic advisor and operating consultant in the entertainment and sports areas at private equity firm RedBird Capital. Prior to that she was global head of partnerships and business development at StubHub.
