unnamedMondelez International has announced that Roberto Marques, 49, will join the company in mid-March and become Executive Vice President and President, North America.  Marques will report to Chairman and CEO Irene Rosenfeld and be based in East Hanover, N.J. In this role, he will be responsible for leading the company’s US$7 billion business in the United States and Canada, which includes Power Brands like Oreo and belVita biscuits; Triscuit and Wheat Thins crackers, Halls candy and Trident gum. Marques succeeds Mark Clouse, who became the company’s Chief Growth Officer inJuly 2014.In this role, Marques will also become a business sponsor on the company’s Supply Chain Reinvention Steering Committee and Sales & Marketing Optimization team as well as a member of Mondelez International’s newly formed Growth Council. Marques joins Mondelez International after a successful career at Johnson & Johnson, where he most recently served as Company Group Chairman, Consumer North America, overseeing all aspects the US$6 billion business, including beauty, baby and personal products and over-the-counter medicines. Prior to that, he held several senior management roles at J&J, including Company Group Chairman Consumer Health Care Global Business Unit, Worldwide President for the Vision Care Division, and President ofEurope, Africa, Middle East and Latin America for Vision Care.

Before that, she was director of creative services at Grey, overseeing creative talent development, operations and training. She has also worked at DDB and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.

 

Fuentes has worked at agencies including Leo Burnett,CP&B, The Barbarian Group and Vidal Partnership.

Prior to that, she worked as a senior partner and executive marketing director at Ogilvy & Mather where she contributed to IBM’s Smarter Planet’s Brand.

 

smurphyOgilvy & Mather (O&M) has appointed Scott Murphy to worldwide chief talent officer.Murphy, previously senior vice president of human resources at Turner, will be responsible for driving talent management strategy and organizational development across the agency’s global offices.Based in New York, he will report to O&M Worldwide chairman and chief executive Miles Young. He will also serve on O&M’s executive committee and worldwide board.

 

descarga (1)Jay Carney is joining Amazon as senior vice president for worldwide corporate affairs.Carney will report directly to CEO Jeff BezosUnder Carney, Amazon’s worldwide public relations and public policy shops will be brought into one department. Carney served as the 29th White House press secretary and was the second person to serve in that position during Barack Obama’s presidency. Last year, Carney resigned and was succeeded by Josh Earnest.
