Alejandra Arce-Salazar
 is Alcance Media Group’s new Latin America Region Manager. Alejandra joins AlcanceMG from FOX. A graduate of Mexico City’s IberoAmericana University, Alejandra contributes her media sales expertise to Alcance Media Group after working with Hispanic media companies including Mundo FOX , Estrella TV and Telemundo.

PubMatic, the digital media platform company for publishers, announced the promotion of Rob Jonas to the newly-created position of Global Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) from his previous role as Vice President and Managing Director EMEA and APAC. Jonas will lead PubMatic’s revenue strategy and play a vital role in the company’s continued global expansion.

AlfandaryJack Alfandary has left his position of SVP, Latin America and US Hispanic at Freemantle Media in Miami. Alfandary has worked at Freemantle for the last 10 years. Freemantle is in the midst of a reorganization. Carlos Gonzalez, Managing Director of Latin America & Spanish Speaking USA, also recently left the company.

 

 

Glam Media announced Dan Lagani has joined the company as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and President. He will be based in New York City reporting to Samir Arora, Glam Media Chairman and CEO. Dan Lagani is a seasoned media executive with extensive experience in traditional print and digital advertising sales, leading large-scale organizations, and was the driving force behind the digital transformation and reinvention of some of the world’s best-known media brands, including Reader’s Digest, Fairchild Fashion Group, Meredith and Condé Nast.

UnivisionUnivision News, the news division of Univision Communications, Inc, announced that Lourdes Torres has been appointed vice president of Regional News and director of Special Projects for Univision News. In this new position, she will be responsible for ensuring that all news programming aired on Univision’s owned and operated local stations, as well as news content featured on Univision’s local digital platforms, meet the highest journalistic and production standards. Torres reports to Daniel Coronell, senior vice president and executive director of News at Univision.  As Vice President of Regional News and Director of Special Projects, Torres will lead Univision News’ efforts to enhance collaboration between network news and local news operations and attain a consistent level of quality across Univision’s television, digital, and radio news platforms. To that end, she will oversee all local newscasts aired on Univision’s owned and operated television and radio stations and their digital platforms.

Alliance for Audited Media President and Managing Director Mike Lavery has announced plans to retire in late 2014. Lavery joined AAM in 1987 and became its president in 1995. In that time the organization has transformed from a print-centric to a multichannel auditor. Since rebranding in November 2012, AAM has made strides in its cross-media audit and data services with major announcements such as the launch of the Media Intelligence Center and certification of the Adobe Publishing Suite.

Digital First Media announced the appointment of Tom Wiley as Executive Vice President Sales and Kirk MacDonald as Executive Vice President Sales Development and President of AdTaxi. Both appointments are effective immediately. “Kirk and Tom are proven digital sales leaders who understand the rapidly changing landscape and the need to constantly find new ways to serve advertisers,” said John Paton, Chief Executive Officer of Digital First Media.
