Spanish Broadcasting Systems  appointed Bill Shadorf as VP Corporate Salees West Coast. In another announcement the company named  Jerry Basin as MegaTV Revenue Chief & SVP of National Sales, Basin will report to Alberto Rodriguez, COO of SBS

Robert M. Williams Jr., chair and publisher of SouthFire Newspaper Group in Blackshear, Ga., was elected as president of the National Newspaper Association, during the association’s 127th annual convention and trade show Sept. 14, 2013. He had been vice president.

Rosana Franco joins ESPN Deportes as one of the hosts of Raza Deportiva, the network’s first live morning simulcast show. The lively debate and analysis soccer program features hosts from three cities: Franco will be joining Omar Orlando and Leo Vega in Miami, David Faitelson and Rafa Ramos in Los Angeles; and Oscar Restrepo all the way from Bogota, Colombia.

Profero has appointed Roberto Ramos as Managing Director for Latin America. In this position, Roberto will lead the agency’s expansion into the region. His initial focus will be on bringing rising Latin American brands to the U.S. and markets around the world, as well as identifying strategic opportunities to open offices in Brazil and Mexico to service the international needs of existing clients.  He will also continue his focus on growing Profero’s U.S. Hispanic practice, which was launched in 2012 with the acquisition of the vox collective, an agency Ramos co-founded.

WPP’s Wing has announced the appointment of Favio Ucedo as chief creative officer.  Ucedo will be responsible for leading Wing’s creative teams for clients like Pantene, Downy, Cover Girl, Olay, DIRECTV, Eli Lilly, 3M, RadioShack, Red Lobster and more. Based in New York, he will report to Andrew Speyer, VP/Managing Director at Wing.
