José Simián has left About.com where he worked as Editor in Chief of the Spanish-language edition. Simián will now join Urban Daddy as editor.

Genevieve Flores is the new General Manager at Conexion, the weekly newspaper published by the San Antonio Express News (Hearst).

Max Ramirez, is the new Diigtal Sales Manager at Spanish Broadcasting System/La Musica.com in Los Angeles, Prior in his career Ramirez worked at impreMedia and Batanga.

Anibal Torres has left Mundo Hispanico, the weekly Spanish-language newspaper in Atlanta, GA owned by the Atlanta Journal Constitution (Cox Communications). Torres had been working as the  publisher of El Mundo Hispanico for the last six years.

Valari Staab will now oversee the company’s 16 Telemundo stations. A new division has been created for this purpose called  NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations.

David Deal has left interactive Advertising Agency iCrossing in Chicago,where he worked as.SVP Marketing.
Time Warner has named

Joseph Ripp the next CEO of Time Inc. He replaces Laura Lang who told staffers that she would not continue in her post after the split of Time Inc from Time Warner into a stand-alone public company. “After considerable thought, I have decided that taking the company through a transition to the public markets is not where my passion lies,” she said in a memo then.

Justin B. Smith, president of Atlantic Media, has been named CEO of Bloomberg Media Group, effective Sept. 16. Andrew Lack, CEO of Bloomberg Media Group since 2008, will become chairman of the group.
