Netflix has hired Kari Perez as Senior Manager for Corporate Communications and Publicity in Latin America, Portada has learned. Perez, a former manager at HBO Latin America, will help Netflix build its brand throughout Latin America. An official announcement has not yet been made. Perez will be based in California and reports to SVP of Corporate Communications Jonathan Friedland.
The Washington Post has named Kevin Gentzel chief revenue officer, effective June 10. Gentzel will report to Steve Hills, president of The Washington Post, and will lead the print and digital advertising teams, the growing conferences business and targeted products, which include Capital Business, Capital Insight, Express, El Tiempo Latino, WP Magazine, and all special sections.
Caleb Solomon has been named editor-at-large for Bloomberg News’ Top News. Solomon comes to Bloomberg from The Boston Globe, where served as the paper’s managing editor. He had been with the Globe since 2003.
