Florencia Serra joins Alcance Media Group as an Account Executive. A graduate of Indiana University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a concentration in International Studies. A passionate communicator, Flor previously worked in the communication department of the Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.
María Chaparro is Alcance Media Group’s newest Account Executive for Mexico and Latin America. María joins Alcance Media Group after working with El Universal, Media Response Group and Grupo Expansión. Maria is a graduate of Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey with a focus on Digital Marketing.
Soledad_O'BrienSoledad O’Brien is ending her morning-show contract with CNN and is moving on to form her own documentary production company that will supply the network with programming on a nonexclusive basis. CNN hasn’t formally announced the details for a new morning show to replace O’Brien’s.  O’Brien’s new company, Starfish Media Group, will produce long-form content for other networks  and partners, according to a statement on CNN’s website. She said the venture will allow for programming that examines under-the-radar stories.

 

 

Christine Maggiore-Escribano has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Integrated Marketing Solutions, Telemundo Media. Escribano joined Telemundo Media as Vice President of Integrated Marketing Solutions in 2009. She will be based in New York and report to Jacqueline Hernandez, Chief Operating Officer and Mike Rosen, Executive Vice President of Ad Sales and Integrated Marketing, Telemundo Media.

Entravision Communications Corporation announced the promotions of eight individuals to the position of Executive Vice President.  These newly created positions will support the company’s new management structure, which was announced in November 2012. David Burke has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Integrated Marketing Solutions, where he will focus on creating a multi-pronged training and professional development platform for all divisions of Entravision, in addition to heading up the company’s revenue development efforts in the growing category of healthcare, as well as World Cup 2014.· Edward Melendez has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Integrated Marketing Solutions, National, overseeing all national revenue for television, radio spot and network assets, in addition to national digital sales.· Adriana Peña Ruiz has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Brand and Sales Development, where she will be responsible for strategic support for all revenue areas, in addition to launching and deploying new products across Entravision’s assets and the packaging of the company’s cross-platform client solutions.
Entravision has also appointed five regional Executive Vice Presidents, who will lead efforts across Entravision’s television, radio and digital assets within geographic areas throughout the U.S. Jeff Apodaca has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Integrated Marketing Solutions, Mountain Region, overseeing Entravision’s assets in Reno and Las Vegas, NV; Phoenix, AZ; Wichita, KS; Albuquerque, NM; and Aspen, Colorado Springs and Denver, CO. David Candelaria has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Integrated Marketing Solutions, West Texas Region, overseeing Entravision’s assets in El Paso, Odessa-Midland/San Angelo and Lubbock, TX.  Rolo Duartes, a seasoned media executive with extensive experience in Latino media, joins Entravision as Executive Vice President, Integrated Marketing Solutions, Eastern Region, overseeing Entravision’s assets in Washington DC, Boston, MA; Hartford/Springfield, CT; Orlando, FL; and Tampa, FL.Karl Meyer has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Integrated Marketing Solutions, Western Region, overseeing Entravision’s assets in California, including Los Angeles, Monterey/Salinas, Palm Springs, Sacramento, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Stockton and Yuma/El Centro. Chris Moncayo has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Integrated Marketing Solutions, South Texas Region, overseeing Entravision’s assets in McAllen, Corpus Christi and Laredo.

With the acquisition of Bolsa de Mulher,  Batanga Media also announced a new President of Bolsa Group, Alexandre Jordao. Jordao will oversee all aspects of Bolsa de Mulher and all its properties under a new subsidiary of Batanga Media, Bolsa Group in Brazil. In addition to Bolsa de Mulher, Bolsa Group includes properties Bolsa de Bebe, Bem Leve, iTodas, EstrelaGuia, Te Contei  and Bolsa TV, as well as the female focused ad network, Pink Network. Previously Jordao was Sales Director for Microsoft Advertising in both Brazil and Mexico. Most recently, Jordao has been an investor and advisory board member for Hunt Mobile Ads and Pivot, a production house in Brazil.
