 Maria Luisa Francoli Plaza is leaving her position as MPG global CEO.  According to Ad Age, the departure is believed to be part of a wider shake-up at MPG.

 

 

 

Aldo Rees has been named director of Pfizer Mexico. Rees has been working as Pfizer director in Venezuela. In his new position, he will replace Francisco Rodríguez.

 

 

 

PDH has created a new planning unit for Unilever. Robert Ray, Toby Roberts and Guy Cousins will be in charge of a new unit responsible for Unilever’s global communications planning. PHD won Unilever’s global planning account in June 2012.

Robert Ray has been named managing director of the new unit.

 

 

 

 

 

Toby Roberts has been named global head of strategy for foods, refreshments and home care.

 

 

 

 

Guy Cousins has been named global head of strategy for personal care brands.

Ray joins PHD from the Newspaper Society, where he spent seven years as marketing director. Roberts moves to his new role from sister Omnicom-owned agency OMD, where he was a managing partner since 2011.Cousins returns to PHD after a stint at Naked Communications in New Zealand as managing partner from February 2012.

Also, PHD has named Peter Van Den Bussche as global content leader and Ali Parsyar as global head of realtime marketing. Joel Person has been named innovation director, who joins from TBWA/Sydney, Sofia Pires will be in charge of Unilever´s market engagement and Phil Rowley also has been appointed innovation director.

The new team will be tasked with managing the global communications planning across Unilever’s portfolio of brands, which includes Dove, Surf, PG Tips, Magnum, Persil and Rexona, across social, mobile, search, content and gaming. The executives will report to Mark Holden, PHD worldwide strategy and planning director, and they will be based in London.

Havas Worldwide (previously known as Euro RSCG) has promoted Andrew Benett to the role of global president. Benett comes from Arnold Worldwide where he has been global CEO. In his new post, Benett will be responsible for leading the day-to-day management of the global network and will report to Havas global chief executive David Jones.
