Jumptap, a mobile advertising agency, announced that it has appointed industry veteran Adam Chandler to SVP of Sales.Chandler brings more than 14 years of digital media and advertising experience and joins Jumptap from the seed-stage VC firm Lerer Ventures, where he served as Executive in Residence. Previously, Chandler spent eight years at Yahoo! in a number of executive sales management positions. He was responsible for spearheading the company’s U.S. Hispanic advertising division, managing Yahoo’s U.S. revenue and advertising display partnerships, and last serving as Executive Director of Sales, overseeing Yahoo!’s off-network advertising partners, including eBay, AT&T, Walmart, and NBC/Telemundo. Chandler has also held executive leadership roles as Chief Revenue Officer at Martini Media, and President & Chief Revenue Officer of the men’s lifestyle company Thrillist

SYNERGY Direct Response announced that Shayne Walters has joined their New Business Development team. He will be based out of their corporate ofices in Santa Ana, CA. Mr. Walters has over 25 years of experience in providing dynamic and innovative new business sales solutions to the consumer marketing and advertising industry. He will now have responsibilities in helping to grow SYNERGY Direct Response’s customer base and driving new sales revenue. Mr. Walters joins SYNERGY Direct Response from PowerDirect Marketing, a leading direct to door advertising rm, where he was Vice President of Business Development and helped grow the company from a regional rm to national advertising service provider.

The editorial team of the just launched Gizmodo en Español  is led by Manuel Ángel Méndez, previously technology editor of El País. In addition, Manuel Ángel Méndez, a contributing editor who worked for El Mundo newspaper; and Jesús Díaz, founder of the original Gizmodo Español is now Editor Emeritus. One more editor will also be hired to round out the staff. “I’m very excited because I have always been passionate about technology, so having this opportunity is a huge thing for me and I am very happy to put together and work with this kind of team,” added Daniel Mauser, who has been named head of Gawker’s services expansion for the Hispanic market.

MediaWhiz will keep its name, corporate branding, and distinct brands, after the recent acquisition by Matomy, but gets a new CEO. Hakan Lindskog. Lindskog, was previously chief executive at CPA (Cost per Acquisition) network Neverblue. Sine existing members of MediaWhiz’s executive team left the company, among them CEO John Kuendig and President Ed Kats, but a representative says the departures weren’t related to the company’s sale and other MediaWhiz management team will remain post-acquisition.

Juan Pedro Di Polo, creative Director of digital agency Wikot will now joining Wikot’s Miami team. Di Polo previously worked out of Wikot’s Caracas, Venezuela, office.
