Interpublic´s Giovanni+Draftfcb and UM have won Sony Entertainment’s account for Latin America, beginning January 2013. The agencies will be in charge of the media buying and planning and creative duties in Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela and Central America.  Also they will be in charge of the Brazilian market.

  • Blue Nile - GlobalBlue Nile, the online retailer of diamonds and fine jewelry, has launched a new website in Spanish. Shoppers can also purchase using their preferred currency. Blue Nile serves more than 40 countries around the world.
  • Maxus / Metalworks - GlobalMaxus (Part of WPP´s network) has launched a global technology research and development (R&D) division in Asia, called Metalworks. The division will be led by Maxus director of technology Tom Kelshaw and Maxus Asia-Pacific head of digital Nico Abbruzzese.
  • Vidisco - GlobalVidisco Ltd. has launched a new website in Spanish. Vidisco’s portable digital X-ray systems are already sold in many Spanish speaking countries including Spain, Mexico, Equador, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Colombia and more.
  • Bodyform – GlobalSCA has called a review of its feminine hygiene brand Bodyform’s global advertising account. The pitch will initially cover the global advertising for Bodyform, butM&M suggests that the remit could be expanded to include the whole SCA feminine hygiene range across 80 countries.
