New Leadership at Publicitas & Charney Palacios. The Latin American and US Hispanic media placement firm announced that Lucio Grimaldi is the new leader of the Publicitas unit in Miami, including its sales and media relations efforts for the Latin American region. He will report directly to Howard Moore, managing director, Publicitas North America. Amelie Ferro, CEO, Publicitas Charney/Palacios, has decided to pursue other professional interests. Publicitas thanks her for her dedicated leadership over the past seven years.
Lucio Grimaldi (photo), who was raised in Argentina and who speaks Spanish, English, Italian, and some Portuguese, until recently was Senior Director, International Sales & Marketing at Rodale since 2006, where he oversaw international integrated advertising sales and brand marketing strategies for Rodale’s websites, magazines, events, digital, and brand extensions in more than 40 countries. Grimaldi also was advertising manager for luxury goods and fashion at Televisa Publishing & Digital (New York), where he led a team of reps to cover the luxury, fashion, and beauty categories, for the US Hispanic market. Prior to that, Grimaldi also was International advertising manager at Hearst Magazines International, where he worked for such powerhouse brands as Esquire, Harper’s Bazaar, and Cosmopolitan in more than 52 countries.
