Bacardi Limited has appointed Gianpaolo (Paolo) Perego as Regional President of Latin America with responsibility for leading all operations in the region. Perego will manage the execution of the overall strategy for the Latin American region, as well as the general management of a diverse business comprising 19 countries. In this role, Mr. Perego will also be a member of the Bacardi Leadership Team. The appointment takes effect July 9, 2012.
StartMeApp Mobile Advertising announces the opening of its new office in Bogotá Colombia, as part of its expansion in Latin America and the US Hispanic Market. Natalia Escual has been named office manager for Colombia and the Caribbean. Based in Bogotá, Ms. Escual will be responsible for oversight of all operations, business development and client relations in Colombia, Ecuador, Panama and other Spanish-speaking countries of the Caribbean.

French media and telecoms group Vivendi has ousted its chief executive Jean-Bernard Lévy. The Financial Times reports that following a weekend summit of directors and senior management to confront shareholder pressure to split the group up, Lévy was removed from the role with chairman Jean-René Fourtou making the final decision.
