StartMeApp Mobile Advertising announces the opening of its new office in Bogotá Colombia, as part of its expansion in Latin America and the US Hispanic Market.

The opening of StartMeApp’s Colombia office is part of the mobile advertising company’s regional expansion program, which began with the opening of its Argentina country office in Buenos Aires in 2011, included the opening of its Mexico country office earlier this month and will continue with additional office openings during Q3-2012 in Santiago, Chile, and Miami, to cover the U.S. Hispanic mobile advertising market. StartMeApp will open its regional office for Europe in London in Q4-2012.

StartMeApp’s ongoing expansion throughout the LatAm region, including the office openings in Mexico City, Bogotá, Santiago and Miami, is fully funded by the company’s current operating revenues, which are generated entirely by the agency’s profitable mobile advertising business.

StartMeApp also announced that Natalia Escual has been named office manager for Colombia and the Caribbean. Based in Bogotá, Ms. Escual will be responsible for oversight of all operations, business development and client relations in Colombia, Ecuador, Panama and other Spanish-speaking countries of the Caribbean.

Ranked among the top-five Latin American countries for smartphone penetration, Colombia will have an estimated 19 million mobile web users accessing the Internet via tablets, laptops and smartphones by the year 2015, according to the GSM Association (GSMA), which represents mobile operators worldwide. In addition, digital business analysis firm comScore has cited a rapid increase in online advertising in Colombia, which jumped 56% in 2010 to reach $41 million and then increased by an additional 40% in 2011.

“Sharply rising smartphone and tablet penetration in Colombia, combined with the strong growth of online advertising, clearly indicates that Colombia is going to experience very important growth in mobile advertising over the coming years,” said StartMeApp Co-Managing Director and Founder, Alejandro Campos Carles. “For StartMeApp, this means that Colombia and the Caribbean basin countries will rapidly become key markets for our company and for our mobile advertising partners over the next three years.”
