Saatchi & Saatchi NY announced that Natalia Schultz joins the agency as Executive Vice President & Chief Talent Officer of the Americas. Her responsibilities include the Network's flagship New York office, Canada, Latin America and Conill. Schultz was previously Executive Vice President & Chief Talent Officer at Grey Worldwide; she will report to Saatchi & Saatchi's Mary Baglivo, Chair & CEO of the Americas.

NII Holdings, a provider of differentiated mobile communication services operating under the Nextel brand in Latin America, announced that Gokul Hemmady, the company's executive vice president and chief financial officer, has been appointed as the company's chief operating officer, a newly-created position in which he will be responsible for oversight of the company's business operations across its markets. Mr. Hemmady will continue to serve as the company's chief financial officer until a successor has been named.

Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co."KKR" announced the appointment of Henrique Meirelles, former Governor of the Central Bank of Brazil and former President of FleetBoston's Corporate and Global Bank, as a Senior Advisor to the firm, effective immediately.

Meirelles currently serves as Chairman of J&F Participacoes S.A., the parent company of JBS S.A., the world's largest beef producer, Chairman of Lazard Americas and Board member of Brazilian airline Azul Linhas Aereas Brasileiras S.A.. He is the Chairman Emeritus of the Brazilian Association of International Banks, Chairman of the Society for the Revitalization of the City of Sao Paulo, and the founding President of the Latin American Leasing Federation. He was the Chairman of the Travessia Foundation and of the American Chamber of Commerce in Sao Paulo. Mr. Meirelles formerly served on a number of corporate boards, including those of BankBoston Corp, FleetBoston Financial, Raytheon Corporation, Bestfoods and Champion International.

RHUB Communications, Inc, web conference and remote support appliance technology company appointed Eric Lieb and Andre Perazzo to represent RHUB's expansion with its New Latin America channel. As part of this new expansion, RHUB representatives will work with resellers and provide sales and technical support to assist VARs, and provide RHUB appliances to customers throughout the region. "Brazil and Latin America are large and rapidly growing markets and represent a strategic growth opportunity for RHUB Communications," said Larry Dorie, CEO of RHUB Communications.

Crawford & Company has promoted Mauricio Alonso as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the company's Latin American and Caribbean operations. Since March 2005, Alonso was acting as a senior vice president and regional managing director of Latin America and the Caribbean. Alonso had held various positions that include serving as a vice president of the Latin America Claims Division for AIG and worked as claims manager, AIG Mexico; claims manager, AIG Brazil; regional director, AIG Mexico; and regional claims supervisor for Geico.
