  • America Movil-Simple-Tracfone Mexican telecommunications company America Movil SAB recently announced that  its U.S. unit Tracfone Wireless Inc. has agreed to acquire Simple Mobile Inc., one of T-Mobile's biggest virtual mobile network operators with more than 1 million subscribers.  America Movil said Simple Mobile offers voice, text messaging, data and wireless broadband services. America Movil didn't disclose the terms of the acquisition, which it expects to close in the second quarter. Miami based advertising agency Marca, recently was selected by Tracfone to handle Hispanic marketing responsibilities for all of its telecommunications platforms.   • Genesis – Healthy Superfruit Juice
    Genesis Today , purveyor of one of the nation's fastest growing healthy food, beverage and nutritional supplement companies, announced the national launch of Renacer SuperFRUITAS, calling it the first truly healthy, superfruit juice developed specifically for the Hispanic market. The product is available at  Walmart and Sam's Club in the refrigerated section.
  • Bromley
    As part of its ongoing "ORIGINATE CHANGE" mantra, Bromley will launch its first mobile application ("App"). The "Culture Connect" app recognizes transcultural people, places and nonprofit organizations across the United States that are making an impact by bridging multicultural communities in a variety of industries.
  • Xoom – Dieste
    Xoom Corporation , a online money transfers, announced the launch of its first national branding platform. Xoom hired multicultural agency Dieste for creative and strategic duties. 
  • Corona Extra
    Corona Extra is launching a unique music experience, Mana Como Nunca or Mana Like Never Before, built around the passion Latino fans of the brand have for music and Spanish-rock legends, Mana. The experience gives consumers – 21 and older – the opportunity to access refreshed tracks of the band's most popular songs featuring today's leading Latino artists; exclusive video content with the artists; and an opportunity to enter a sweepstakes for a VIP concert experience with Mana in Las Vegas. From now through July 31, music fans can visit the newly-launched Corona Latino website CoronaExtraUSA.com to learn how to download the refreshed Mana songs, watch exclusive interviews with the five participating artists, stream music as well as sign up  for the sweepstakes and learn about local release parties. Participating artists – who represent a diverse mix of genres ranging from Latin Pop and Electro Pop to Batucada, Reggaeton, and Tropi Pop.
  • Pizza Patron
    Pizza Patron is launching its :Pizza por favor” event at restaurants nationwide next month. Every customer that orders in Spanish on Tuesday, June 5th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., will receive a free large pepperoni pizza, which is the company's top-selling product. Free pizzas are limited to one per customer between 5pm and 8pm, at participating locations, while supplies last. PIZZA POR FAVOR is the first of three 2012 campaigns the company has planned to celebrate the brand's Hispanic focus and honor the positive force of change immigrants have made in communities throughout America. Pizza Patron is headquartered in Dallas with 104 locations in seven states and more than 80 under development. Franchise opportunities, offering a proven system for hard-working franchisee candidates, are available in prime Hispanic markets throughout the country. A typical Pizza Patron is a carry out location, located in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood, with a footprint of about 1,200 square feet
  • Mobile: Hispanic Voter Outreach
    Nonpartisan voter-outreach groups are going mobile. Voto Latino plans to debut a mobile phone app this fall targeting Hispanic young adults' cell phones. The Hispanic Institute, a nonprofit organization dedicated to political and business issues among Hispanics, released a report last May that calls mobile apps a key tool in the future of Hispanic civic engagement. Democratic President Barack Obama's campaign is ahead of Republican Mitt Romney's in using the mobile platform. While both have mobile-optimized websites, the president also has launched the Latinos for Obama website optimized for mobile devices. Obama's campaign also has released a mobile app; Romney's campaign has not. Romney campaign officials say the mobile website is their priority.   Kiwibox
    The Kiwibox network announced the integration of Spanish language versions on its social networking websites. The US based platform Kiwibox and the European KWICK! now each support Spanish versions, and are creating their own place in Spanish and Latin markets. Through detection of members' system settings, the social networking platforms will automatically update to Latin users' preferred language, allowing for the full use of the Kiwibox community without language barriers.  Simultaneously, Kiwibox.com and KWICK!'s mobile application growth, and an upcoming multilingual version of the app, parlays directly into the Spanish language market on mobile platforms as well.
