Changing places: Tom Jimenez (UTSD), Philip Wilkinson (Entravision), Jose Viesca (Matomy)

Tom Jimenez was named as Union Tribune San Diego’s vice president of Spanish language products.  Jimenez , said he will focus on expanding the U-T’s presence in the Latino community, both in publications and on the Internet as well as in outreach to local residents and businesses. “I am very excited for the opportunity to join the U-T and spearhead and focus on the great Spanish language products already in place,” Jimenez said. I look forward to helping broaden the U-T’s commitment to the Hispanic market in Southern California.” Currently, the U-T publishes the Enlace weekly newspaper, Vida Latina lifestyle magazine and La Bolsa Azul (“the blue bag“), an advertising supplement, and operates several Spanish-language websites.
