Digital Media: Pubmatic strengthens Multicultural and Latin American Presence
Online advertising management firm Pubmatic is expanding into the U.S. Multicultural and Latin American digital media markets. The company recently hired Dayna Moon to develop relations with publishers in the Latin American and U.S. Hispanic markets. Moon works out of Pubmatic’s New York office. Moon previously worked at AdTech, an online advertising company owned by AOL.
Pubmatic works on the publisher side as opposed to being a more neutral intermediary between clients and media or a DSP (Demand Side Platforms) which work on the agency and media side. PubMatic’s Mission is to enable premium publishers to realize the full potential of their digital assets.
DSP’s (Demand Side platforms) and publisher oriented platforms such as Pubmatic are entering the Latin Digital Media markets as these markets gain in sophistication. Up till now these markets have been mostly intermediated by classical online ad-networks which assume more of a broker role. DSP’s and publisher side platforms should contribute to increase the transparency of both the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American digital media markets.
PubMatic is privately held, backed by funding from Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Nexus Venture Partners, and Helion Ventures, and has seven offices around the world in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Two weeks ago, Pubmatic acquired MobiPromo to expand its mobile capabilities. Earlier this week we published that Raul Aliaga has been named the new Senior Manager for Digital Sales for Komli Multicultural. Komli is a sister company of Pubmatic. Mr. Amar Goel is both the Founder & Chairman for Komli Media and PubMatic.
