Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has appointed Rene Rodriguez as VP of digital media for VIMN The Americas (Latin America, US Hispanic and Canada). Reporting to VIMN’s EVP and COO Scot McBride and based in Miami, Florida, Rodriguez will handle all strategic areas of interactive digital media including the expansion of online and mobile businesses. He will also head up development and distribution of digital content for VIMN The Americas brands MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and Vh1, and for Tr3s, MTV, and Música y Mas in the US.

Willie Lora is the new CNN en Español News Director, As a new news director, Lora becomes the chief executive of CNN news content in Spanish. Lora will be responsible for strategy, planning and implementation of the contents of the news, as well as prioritization of coverage and editorial vision of the chain.

Kimberly-Clark’s chief marketing officer, Tony Palmer, has been named president of global brands and innovation. Palmer will be responsible for building Kimberly-Clark’s brands and driving growth for the businesses around the world. As part of his remit Clark will also work alongside Kimberly-Clark’s regional business leaders and assist with them their business objectives.

Shane Atchison has been named CEO of Possible Worldwide, a WPP Digital company. Atchison will replace Trevor Kaufman, who will become Possible Worldwide's chairman and will now work to expand the agency.

MPG Argentina has promoted Daniel Coscia to CEO for the country. Also, Emiliano Ferreiros will assume as COO. Eliana Terbeck and Germán Abaroa will continue to lead the Account Department.

José Antonio Vera has been named President of the Spanish news agency EFE. Vera substitutes Alex Grijelmo, who has been working for EFE since 2004.

OgilvyEarth has opened two new offices in Latin America, Chile and Argentina. Michael Vilcinskas is the new CEO for both agencies and Carlos Bensan has been named Creative Director.

Rodrigo Carr, President and CEO of JWT Argentina, leaves the agency after 6 years in the position to work for IMC Comunicación as Regional Director and Partner. IMC plans to expand in Latin America to Colombia and Chile. Currently, the agency has presence in Argentina and Mexico.

At JWT Argentina, Sergio Belgrano will replace Carr as new CEO. Belgrano has previously worked for McCann Argentina and Young & Rubicam.

Mariano Filarent has been named General Director at Havas Digital Argentina.
