  • Zimmerman Advertising – Extended Stay Hotels
    Zimmerman Advertising won the Extended Stay Hotels account. The first order of business lies in relaunching the brand and tapping into Zimmerman's full-"suite" of in-house offerings, from creative and interactive, to mobile and CRM/Loyalty – and will include media planning and buying duties. Estimated budget is between $17-$20 million.
     
  • Heineken
    Heineken is consolidating media planning and buying for its brands worldwide into one media agency. Two agencies, Publicis’ Starcom MediaVest and WPP’s MindShare, have been shortlisted. The selected agency will be tasked with maximizing the effectiveness of the company’s world-class brand building and fully utilizing the company’s increased buying power. HEINEKEN plans to have the new agency in place by the middle of 2012. Starcom Media Vest is Heineken’s media buying and planning agency for the In the U.S. Hispanic market.   • Arix
    Arix, a health and wellness company, announced the addition of their newest Executive Team Member, global business leader Alfonso Todd, as Vice President of Hispanic Markets. He will oversee ARIIX operations in Mexico and its future expansion in Latin America, as well as supporting growth in the Hispanic Markets throughout North America.

  • The Tucson Padres
    The Tucson Padres continue their efforts to connect with the Hispanic community in southern Arizona by hiring Francisco Gamez as the club's Director of Hispanic Marketing. Gamez is aformer professional pitcher who organized the inaugural Vamos a Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta in October.

  • Novamex-GSD&M Novamex is trying to appeal to more young non-Hispanic males via an online marketing push for its Jarritos brand, Internetretailer reports. Novamex worked with Austin based agency GSD&M on the campaign.
       
  • Elwiri – dialogo
    elwiri, a lifestyle mobile phone application that provides all its content in Spanish, announced that after careful selection, DIÁLOGO was selected as agency of record to launch its nationwide audience outreach campaign.
