  • Phillips-MPG-Carat
    Phillips US$ 500 million global media account was awarded to Carat and MPG in December.

  • Siemens-Horizon Media
    Siemens Enterprise Communications global media account was awarded to Horizon Media in December.
  • General Motors
    General Motors' US$ 3 billion Global Media account is in play. Universal Mc Cann currently does media buying for Latin America. Starcom is the incumbent for the U.S. and  Carat is the incumbent for Europe. Contenders are Starcom, Carat, Interpublic and Omnicon Group and an announcemment is expected by the end of January.
  • Rapipago – Argentina
    Rapipago announced that will be one of the oficial sponsors of the Argentinean carnaval in Gualeguaychú, Entre Ríos. Rapipago will be present in one of the “comparsas” during January and February.
  • Shell – Global

Shell kick off a review of its 230 million global media account, which is currently held by WPP's MediaCom. Shell has approached a number of agencies to submit a request-for-information (RFI) by this week.

  • Tourism Ireland – Global

Tourism Ireland has named Publicis as its agency to run its new global campaign "Jump into Ireland". The campaign will be run in 22 markets.

  • Trip Editora – Brazil

Multimedia Inc. announced an agreement to represent on a worldwide basis the Brazilian publishing house Trip Editora. Its portfolio includes titles such as the Audi Magazine, Trip and Revista Gol of Gol Airlines.

  • Chartis – Global

Chartis is expanding its relationship with Reader's Digest to market and sell accident, health, property and casualty insurance worldwide. Under the new deal, Reader's Digest will provide marketing content to Chartis insurance plan members. The products will be marketed through Reader's Digest online and other channels.
