Eva Hughes is the new CEO for Condé Nast Mexico and Latin America

Vogue Mexico and Latin America editor Eva Hughes has been named chief executive of Condé Nast Mexico and Latin America, replacing Farid Aouragh who has left to pursue other opportunities.

Vogue Mexico and Latin America editor Eva Hughes has been named chief executive of Condé Nast Mexico and Latin America, replacing Farid Aouragh who has left to pursue other opportunities.

A replacement editor for Vogue will be announced soon.

Condé Nast Latin America also publishes Spanish-languages titles distributed in the U.S. Hispanic market.

Hughes has been editor of Vogue since 2002, which, under her leadership, doubled its circulation. Hughes began her career in TV production, before serving as editorial director of Miami-based Spanish magazine Selecta.

“Eva is a strong leader with talent, drive and a keen understanding of editorial quality,” says Condé Nast International chairman Jonathan Newhouse. “She is known and highly respected in the marketplace.”

Condé Nast Mexico and Latin America publishes Glamour, AD and GQ, in addition to Vogue. The company produces magazine branded websites via its digital arm and contract publishing activities.
