  • Heineken – Global

Heineken announced that it is to consolidate media planning and buying for its brands worldwide into one media agency.  Publicis' Starcom MediaVest and WPP's MindShare, have been shortlisted.

  • Brazil PR – Global

Brazil PR is expanding its reach by opening an office in the Middle East. Brazil’s chief executive Joshua Van Raalte will oversee the expansion in the Middle East and senior Al Jazeera presenter and correspondent Stephen Cole has been hired to work from the Doha office as consultant director.

  • Volvo – Global

Volvo restructures Global Agency relationships. Arnold will manage the Volvo account globally next year. It will continue to be managed by Global Brand Director Jorian Murray and Global Executive Creative Director Sean Thompson. SapientNitro is being cut from the roster in the China and U.K. markets, but it will hang on to Australia.

  • Cox Communication – Global

Cox Communication selected MediaVest as its planning and buying agency of record for online and traditional media. Cox spends about $120 million on ads each year, according to Nielsen’s AdViews ad-tracking service. MediaVest won the assignment after a competitive review, managed by Pile & Co. Previously, Cox had used a number of regional agencies to handle its media, according to a company rep, but decided to consolidate under one agency.

  • Sprint – Global

Sprint has named Publicis Group, led by Digitas, to manage brand strategy, advertising, digital, offline media, digital buying and analytics. There was no formal review. The account will be managed under a new holding company entity called Team Sprint, led by Digitas President Tony Weisman. Leo Burnett, Publicis Groupe’s Chicago-based ad shop, will serve as Sprint’s new creative agency, replacing Omnicom’s Goodby Silverstein & Partners.
