Antonio Fernández Galiano appointed EVP of Unidad Editorial

Antonio Fernández Galiano has been appointed new Executive President of Unidad Editorial, the Spanish media group that publishes the print and online versions of El Mundo, Marca, Expansión, Golf Digest, Veo7 TV, Marca TV, among other important media properties.

Many of the properties have a substantial online user base in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market. In 2009 Unidad Editorial launched El Mundo Americas.  Based in Miami, El Mundo America  produces and curates content specifically targeting U.S. Hispanics and Latin Americans. Fernández Galiano was the keynote speaker at Portada's 2010 Latin American Advertising and Media Summit.

Fernández Galiano was the Managing Director of the group until today. Carmen Iglesias, former President, is leaving the group. Giampaolo Zambeletti continues as Vice-president of the board. The following executives continue to be members of the board: Piergaetano Marchetti, Antonello Perricone, Riccardo Stilli, Mónica Possa, Alceo Rapagna, Pedro J. Ramírez, Ignacio de la Rica, Luis de Guindos as well as a representative of RCS International Newspapers.
