» ADS Media Group stock trading halted
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission recently released an order that suspends the buying and selling of stock in ADS Media Group, Inc (AMGU.PK), Menafn, reports. According to the SEC, the agency lacks current and accurate information regarding the securities of the San Antonio, Texas-based direct marketing company. Instead, what it did find is that ADS Media Group has not filed any periodic reports since the period ending March 31, 2008. ADS Media Group describes itself as a leading provider of turnkey direct marketing support services, with an emphasis on alternate or door-to-door delivery. Solo marketing and co-op marketing programs are comprised of two to seven pieces of brochures, coupons, and other advertisements delivered door-to-door to targeted audiences. As part of its services to advertising clients, ADS Media Group offers geo-demographic targeting and mapping capabilities. In 2007, ADS Media Group launched La Canasta de Valores, a Hispanic targeted advertising cooperative. The company has 26 employees.

» Latin Grammys: Calle 13 and “Latinoamérica” are the favorites
Puerto Rican Calle 13 received a record 10 nominations from the Latin Recording Academy, including best album of the year “Entren Los Que Quieran” and best song of the year “Latinoamérica”. René Diaz, Singer of Calle 13, said to El Nuevo Dia that he only expects to win with “Latinoamérica”: “I feel it´s the best song I have written. I feel this song strengthens Latin America”, he said. The 12th Latin Grammys Awards next November 10 will be supported on radio, TV and internet via Univision.

This year, groups claiming to be affiliates of Anonymous — perhaps the largest and most well-known hacker group — have sprung up in Colombia, Chile, Ecuador and Venezuela, the Miami Herald reports. Brazilian government websites have been attacked more than 1,250 times this year and Chile has seen waves of cyber attacks as part of Anonymous’ “BadEducation” campaign in support of student protestors.
