Changing places: Rick Alessandri, Kevin Cuddihy, Christina Hernand…

Rick Alessandri has been appointed S VP of Business Development of Univision Communications. He’ll be in charge of creating and expanding new revenue streams for the company. He’ll be based in NYC and report to Randy Falco, EVP and COO.
Rick was most recently SVP and Managing Director for the X games and SVP for ESPN Enterprises and consumer products. He started at ESPN in 2000 as VP and assistant to the President. He was previously VP and GM at SportsTicker. (Report Mediamoves.com)

Univision Communications announced that Kevin Cuddihy has been promoted to President of Univision Television Group (UTG). In his new role, Kevin will oversee all UTG operations, including ad sales and local programming.  He’ll report to Peter Walker, President of Univision Local media.  Until his promotion, Kevin was EVP of Advertising Sales for UTG. Christina Hernandez has been hired at WTVJ, the NBC O&O in Miami. She’ll be a lead reporter/multimedia journalist/co-anchor for Miami NonStop News, an NBC 24-HR local news channel. (Report Mediamoves.com)

Christina was most recently a reporter at WINK-TV, the CBS affiliate in Fort Myers. She was previously a reporter at KBMT-12 in Beaumont, TX and a video journalist at News 12 the Bronx.
         
Joseph Carvajal has been named director, Marketing and Business Development at Latinum Network according  to an announcement by Founder and Managing Partner David Wellisch. In this new role, Carvajal will be responsible for fostering greater commercial collaboration among the Latinum members. Carvajal, who had been U.S. Hispanic Brand Marketing Manager at Brown-Forman Corporation, was a member of the Latinum Network before joining the company.
