  • Stein Mart
    An important area of focus for the mid-tier department store Stein Mart is modernizing its image as it aggressively pursues younger and Hispanic customers. The retailer launched its first Hispanic-targeted advertising program during the first quarter, and received a strong response from this segment of shoppers. The plan is now to expand the effort and continue to appeal to bilingual shoppers via more advertising and expanded merchandise offerings. Stein Mart executives noted this during an earnings call last week.
  • Comida Kraft
    Comida Kraft is enhancing its already extensive reach and engagement with Latina moms with a new "Share Your Latin Flavor" initiative, which has a partnership with celebrity chef Alfredo Oropeza as a focal point.  Launching today, the initiative will encourage Latina women to share recipes and tips related to the cooking of their cultures by spotlighting Oropeza and employing all of Comida Kraft's media assets. Those include the cross-Kraft-brand Hispanic food platform's hub, ComidaKraft.com; its Facebook page; mobile; public relations; word-of-mouth marketing efforts, and its magazine (Comida y Familia). Plus, for the first time, Comida-focused advertising will air on Hispanic U.S. networks.

    Mercury Mambo a Hispanic experiential marketing, sales promotion, and branding agency in Austin, TX has been selected as the Hispanic partner agency for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund’s promotional campaigns.
  • Coca Cola
    The Coca-Cola Telenovela Club: three lucky winners will get to live the ultimate Tinseltown experience. The winners will receive a trip to Universal Studios in Hollywood, California to meet two of their favorite stars, Cristián de la Fuente and Jacqueline Bracamontes.

  • Budweiser
    The Vicente Fernandez 2011 U.S. tour, presented by Budweiser, kicks off this month. Budweiser is the presenting sponsor for the artist's tour, which kicked off May 6 in Fresno, Calif. The concert tour will visit Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and other markets across the United States through November. The full schedule with more cities and exact show dates will be announced at a later date. Known as "El Rey" (The King), Vicente Fernandez is appearing in Budweiser's Spanish-language campaign, which includes TV, radio, print, outdoor, interactive and point-of-sale.

  • Aeria Games
    Aeria Games, a global publisher of free-to-play online games, announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with Perfect World Co. to publish Perfect World International (PWI) for Spanish language audiences. The game is scheduled to launch in the second half of this year.
