  • Audi – Latin America

Jose Carlos De Mier, has accepted the position of PR Manager Audi Latin America. He started in his new position on March 15th, 2011. In this position he reports to Diego Ramos, Vice President Audi Latin America, and Ulrich Schwarze, Marketing & PR Manager Audi Latin America. "This change obeys to a new strategy regarding all PR activities. New team priority will be to reorganize the Audi Latin Public Relations with the goal to achieve aqualitative and quantitative improvement in terms of planning, execution and monitoring of PR for the region". VP Diego Ramos said Jose Carlos has been working for more than 20 years in the media industry. Prior to joining Audi, Jose Carlos worked in different  managing positions for Televisa in USA and México. He started in the region as International Managing Directorfor Televisa Publishing in Miami launching magazines and websites in Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and US Hispanic Market and continued as General Manager and Board Member of Editorial Televisa in Mexico City. Mediacom is Audi Latin America's media agency, while Brand Thread is its creative agency.

  • Netflix – Latin America

U.S. online streaming-DVD delivery giant Netflix, Inc  is working on a push into Latin America and is close to announcing deals with three of the continent’s largest broadcasters to begin streaming programming online in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Mexico, the Financial Times reports.  Netflix, whose subscriber base could top 50 million by 2013, has more than 23 million subscribers in North America, including about 800,000 in Canada – up from about 15 million a year ago.

  • Vice/ WPP/ The Raine Group/ Endeavor – Global

Vice today announced it has formed major investment partnerships with: Tom Freston, MTV Founder and former Viacom CEO; WPP; and The Raine Group, a media merchant bank. Vice also announced a strategic partnership with the agency William Morris Endeavor.

Vice will leverage the new resources and relationships to aggressively expand globally, focusing on emerging markets such as Brazil. Vice is in the process of building a network of international studios and creative facilities to produce and distribute content from directors, writers, artists and musicians. Vice will also expand its news and sports divisions, increasing its coverage of international stories for a young audience. Additionally, Vice will continue establishing new digital channels and verticals with large brands.

  • Pelé Sports – Global
Pelé Sports, which is betting the popularity of its iconic Brazilian soccer namesake will help it break out in a category dominated by marketing giants like Nike and Adidas, has signed McCann Erickson West to brand it worldwide. McCann’s S.F. office takes the lead on the business, but will also work with network offices in Europe and Latin America. 
  •   Madison Ave. Media

Madison Ave. Media, Inc., announced the creation of America del Sur Movil (Mobile S.A.) as the latest addition to their Channel Partners sales team, to provide world-class digital media solutions to the Hispanic market across the Americas.

  • Nokia – Global

Nokia has issued a global RFI to networks with agency sources suggesting Nokia wants ideas from agencies relating to its smart devices. Wieden & Kennedy currently handles the estimated 148 million dollars account.

  • WPP/ IMG – Global

WPP and IMG will establish a joint team and share resources to offer and provide licensing services to clients from WPP’s portfolio of agencies. The new WPP venture is an additive unit to IMG Licensing's existing operations.
