Philip Vandervoort has been named Head of Business and Marketing for Microsoft Latin America

Mr. Vandervoort, General Manager of Microsoft Belux since June 2007, has been named Head of Business and Marketing Operations for Microsoft Latin America. In his new position, he will be reporting to Cesar Cernuda, Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Services.

"I am thrilled to be joining Microsoft Latin America. The solid and successful team and the untapped potential of Latin America, made it a very attractive place to work. I'm really looking forward to undertaking this important task", Vandervoort said.

Before moving to South America next summer, he will finish off the half year figures for Belux and western-Europe. Microsoft Belux is currently looking for a replacement to take over the reigns from Mr. Vandervoort.

During Mr. Vandervoort’s time at Microsoft Belux, he was involved in successfully launching Windows 7, Office 2010, Windows Phone 7, and Windows Server 2008 R2.
