Univision Communications Inc. has announced that longtime journalist Isaac Lee has been named president of News and that Alexander “Sandy” Brown has been named president of Sports. The Company also announced that Alina Falcón, a Univision veteran of 26 years who has held numerous senior roles throughout the organization, has decided to leave her current position leading news and sports programming and production to consult on special projects. Telemundo announced that Joe Navarro has been named Senior Vice President, Human Resources for Telemundo. Navarro will report to Telemundo President, Don Browne and functionally to Margaret Lazo, Executive Vice President, NBC Universal Entertainment. In this position, Navarro will oversee all human resources responsibilities for Telemundo Communications Group’s domestic and international operations.
Telemundo announced that Eliz Gazarian-Semerjian has been named Manager of National Sales for the Los Angeles office, Telemundo Stations Group. Gazarian-Semerjian will report to Andrew Barnet, Vice President of National Sales, Telemundo. Additionally, Tapias Mansfield has been hired as Director of Strategic Marketing Partnerships, West Coast, Telemundo, and will report to David Matthews, Vice President, Strategic Marketing Partnerships, Telemundo Station Group.
