Changing Places: Melisa Quiñoy, Karen Barroeta, Gustavo de Mello, Megan Rock…

After two years on board, Melisa Quiñoy will be stepping down as CEO of the agency Dieste before year's end to pursue other interests. Aldo Quevedo, president of the Dallas-based agency, takes over her responsibilities temporarily.

Karen Barroeta has been named SVP, marketing creative, at Telemundo. In the newly created role, Barroeta will develop positioning for all program-specific and Telemundo brand advertising and promotion. Barroeta will report to Susan Solano Vila, Telemundo’s EVP of marketing. Barroeta’s work will drive continued ratings growth and audience share while building the Telemundo brand in both the domestic U.S. Hispanic and International markets.

Gustavo de Mello has joined DDB Chicago in the new position of senior VP-group strategy director in charge of the State Farm account.

Rainbow Media has promoted Danielle Pantages-Baker to VP-ad sales, western region, overseeing national sales accounts for AMC, WEtv and Wedding Central within the region's 13-state territory. 

The Weather Channel Companies tapped Megan Rock as VP-partnership marketing and operations and Brittany Smith as VP-national accounts.

ION Media Networks has named Yoav Shahar VP-West Coast network sales. Mr. Shahar comes to ION with over 15 years experience in cable sales both in New York and Los Angeles.
