Changing Places: Marjorie Miller, Scott Weinstein, J. Luis Lozada, Augusto Dekalder…

The Associated Press has named Marjorie Miller Latin America and The Caribbean editor. Marjorie Miller has worked previously as a foreign policy editor and op-ed correspondent for the Los Angeles Times. Miller will relocate to Mexico City in order to oversee coverage ranging from the U.S. / Mexico border to the tip of South America, as well as across the Caribbean. In addition, she will be in charge of the AP’s global Spanish news service.

Aurora Networks, Inc., the optical transport solution provider focused on delivering cable services, has named Scott Weinstein as its vice president of new business development. Among various regions, Weinstein will be in charge of the development in Latin America.

Jorge Luis Lozada returns to TBWA Venezuela as General Manager. Lozada has already been General Manager at TBWA Venezuela for five years. He also has handle national and international accounts at Eliaschev and McCann Erickson.

Augusto Delkáder, CEO Unión Radio will be named President for SER. Delkáder will be replaced by Javier Pons, currently executive at PRISA. The changes have to be approved by the administrative council this week.

R/GA San Paulo has appointed Marcio Garcez as Account Director. Garcez will be in charge of the Mastercard account for Brazil and Latin America. Garcez has previously worked for Predicta for 8 years as VP of Sales, online marketing agency.

The Argentinean President, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner has named Martín García as new Telam President. Telam is the Argentina´s official news agency. García is a renamed journalist. He has founded CEMEC and directed the magazine Feriado Nacional.
