Changing Places: Ismalis Mendoza, Lynn Ponder, Mike Valdés-Fauli, Alejandro Riera…

Ismalis Mendoza, is the new Media Supervisor at Miami based advertising agency Marca Hispanic. Previously, Ismalis worked as digital media specialist at Hispanic Group.

The Jeffrey Group has promoted Mike Valdés-Fauli to President.  Jeffrey Sharlach, founder and CEO of the firm, also announced that Juan Sanchez, a former Vice President at the agency from 1993 until 2002, will be rejoining as Senior Counselor.  Jorge Ortega, who had been President of the firm since 2005, has resigned to pursue other interests.  Brian Burlingame, Chief Operating Officer, who has been at the agency for more than 10 years, will continue to manage The Jeffrey Group’s day-to-day operations.

After Kathleen Halley's position of Multicultural Marketing director was eliminated, Lesley McNorton, Multicultural Marketing & Americas Brand Manger, Corporate Marketing, will also take multicultural marketing responsibilities at Hewlett-Packard.

Grupo W announced that it will begin operations in the U.S. The firm decided to open offices in Miami to work with agencies and advertisers in the Hispanic Market. Grupo W hired Lynn Ponder as new business developer to search new clients in the US.

Alejandro Riera is the new interim publisher and editor in chief at Café Magazine, after Julian Posada the ex-publisher of the company was named new president of MLS club Chicago Fire.
