Changing Places: Javier Cortezón, Javier Viroomal, Enrique Juarez, William H Derrenger…

Unión Radio has strengthened its management structure with the appointment of Javier Cortezón as Managing Director of Unión Radio, and Javier Viroomal Carreño as Digital Director for the company. Javier Cortezón was until now Associate Director of Union Radio, a position he held since 2006. Cortezón joined Grupo Prisa in 1996 as Financial Controller of the newspaper El País. Javier Viroomal Carreño has been appointed Digital Director of Unión Radio, a newly created position in response to the ongoing adaptation process of this company to the challenges of the current digital scenario.

Enrique Juarez has taken on the role of the VP sales liaison for Latin America at NBC Universal International Television Distribution. Juarez is responsible for overseeing the free-, pay- and basic cable TV efforts for NBC Universal programming throughout the region. He is further responsible for Spain and Portugal, reporting to Maria Sanchez, the senior VP sales liaison for NBC Universal International Television Distribution.

William H Derrenger has been appointed General Manager for the new asociation at Prisa Group between GDM and Box Publicidad. Paul Brown will manage de commercial area, in charge also with the ad sales. Carlos Perez will run the Operation area and María Jesús Solaún starts working as Marketing Manager.

José Luis Puigdengolas has left the direction of GDM to start as Commercial General Manager for Ediciones El País. María Frías, who was in the position has been appointed General Director.

Roberto Rico has been named Creative Director at Norlop JWT, Ecuador, Guayaquil. Rico has previously worked at AW, Oveja Negra, Saatchi & Saatchi with brands like Digitel, United Distillers, Pepsi, among others. Rico is replacing Nelson Fragoso who left the company last year.

Fábrica Comunicaçao Brazil announces some changes at its staff. Rodrigo Pará has been named Director of Planning, Clarissa Canova, Daniela Duarte, Rodrigo Muniz and Roberto Truzzi have been named Account Executives. Casanova will manage the brands BlackRock, Febraban and Libra Teminais, Duarte will be in charge of Contax, Bunge and Credicard. Muniz will manage the accounts of Pandora and Samsung and Truzzi the accounts of Leroy Merlin, Anbina and Bosh. Also has been appointed Marcelo Costas as Media Coordinator.
