General Mills Inc. today unveiled a re-designed version of its successful, Spanish-language, lifestyle web site for women, QueRicaVida.com, at a Miami gala event attended by more than 100 Hispanic editors, reporters and bloggers from around the country. Several Latina celebrities, including actress Adamari Lopez, Despierta America! morning show host Karla Martinez, and Univision Network health spokesperson, Dra. Aliza, were also present for the unveiling, along with several hundred invited guests.
Que Rica Vida’s website, published by General Mills which also publishes the namesake magazine, was recently relaunched.

Agency executives, clients and media executives attended several high quality presentations and panels. In the panel “Media Moguls Chat”, Per Mikael Jensen, CEO of Metro International noted that he expects Latin America to amount between 10% and 15% of Metro’s business in 10 years. Jesus Mata, Sr. Director Advertising Services, DirectTV Latin America, expects Latin America to amount 45% to 50% of DirecTV’s business by 2010.
