Key Administration Officials to Headline Largest Gathering of Hispanic Business Leaders in America

The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) announced a lineup of prominent speakers participating at its 30th Annual National Convention,Business Expo, and Latina Summit from September 16-19, 2009.

Slated to deliver major addresses at the Convention are: U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke; U.S. Treasurer Rosie Rios; SBA Administrator Karen Mills; Colorado Governor Bill Ritter; Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper; NMSDC President & CEO Hariet Michel, WBENC President & CEO Linda Denny; Best Selling Author Julie Stav; and, Gold Medal Olympian Cullen Jones.

"The USHCC is honored to be joined by so many distinguished individuals," said David C. Lizárraga, Chairman of the Board. "This is a tribute to the growth and vitality of our nation's more than 3 million Hispanic businesses and their increasing importance to our economy nationally and beyond."

Over a period of four days, the Convention will provide educational workshops, town halls, receptions, business matching opportunities, and many other resources critical to the continued growth and success of the Hispanic business community. The event will bring together local groups from the state of Colorado, thousands of Hispanic entrepreneurs, high-level representatives and decision-makers from Corporate America, key political leaders and officials, and Hispanic Chamber leaders from across the nation.

As part of its 30th anniversary celebration, the USHCC will inaugurate the Latina Summit. The Summit builds upon the USHCC's comprehensive initiative to provide current and aspiring Latina entrepreneurs with access to effective tools, resources and information they need to establish new businesses as well as to grow and succeed in the competitive global marketplace.
