Liliana Gil, until recently Worldwide Director of Marketing Services and Hispanic Marketing Strategy Lead for Johnson & Johnson, has launched her own agency called Transnovate. The company is leading the digital strategy for the 2009 Latin Grammy Awards.

Maya Entertainment has made three new executive appointments in its home entertainment division. Mary Escobedo has been promoted to VP of sales for home entertainment. Kristi Alires has joined the company in the newly created position of VP of marketing for home entertainment. Christina Hirigoyen is now director of sales for home entertainment. Escobedo is now responsible for expanding Maya’s reach in the home entertainment marketplace. Alires is responsible for establishing Maya’s brand positioning and setting marketing and advertising strategies for the home entertainment division. As director of sales, Christina Hirigoyen is responsible for the growth and management of key accounts such as Ingram, VPD, Baker & Taylor and AEC.

Mediaedge:cia (MEC) announced that Juan Bongiovanni will be the first MEC Interaction Director named to MEC’s Latin America regional headquarters, effective July 1st. Juan will report to Michael Jones, CEO of Mediaedge:cia, Latin America.In his new position as Regional Interaction Director, Juan will grow and continue to develop the MEC Interaction offer throughout the region, helping clients to work with the multiple facets of digital media and developing and integrating thinking across all media. Juan will work on key accounts, such as Sony, Colgate Palmolive, Sony Ericsson, Energizer.

Fox Networks, a Fox International Channels and News Corporation company, reported today Ariel Arrieta is transitioning into a Senior Advisory role. Ariel Arrieta co-founded in 2003 Digital Ventures (aka Directa Networks), and InZearch (search engine marketing) and grew the business to become one of the leading Ad Networks in Latin America. Both companies were acquired by Fox International Channels in July 2007.

Luis Miguel Messianu, President and Chief Creative Officer of Alma DDB, has appointed Isaac Mizrah to the newly created role of Senior Vice President – Managing Director of the agency, effective July 13th 2009.
