Dennis Woodside is the new VP Americas region of Google. Google announced that Dennis Woodside, 40, until recently the top salesman in charge of the United Kingdom, which is Google’s second-biggest market, will oversee advertising sales in North America and Latin America. Woodside replaces Armstrong, who recently was appointed CEO of AOL.

Walter Karl, Inc announced the addition of Leslie Brell to the position of Vice President, West Coast Sales, and Timothy Skennion to the position of Vice President, East Coast Sales. Ms. Brell comes to Walter Karl after many years at RedSail Media as Vice President of Sales and Mr. Skennion comes to Walter Karl from Pheedo, an RSS advertising company where he served as Vice President of Sales.

El Nuevo Herald executive editor Humberto Castelló announced his resignation after seven years. His place will be taken by Manny Garcia, The Miami Herald's senior editor for news.

The Executive Editor of The Miami Herald Anders Gyllenhaal announced that current Features Editor Mindy Marques will replace Manny Garcia as the newspaper's new Senior Editor.

Acento announced that Roberto Orci has completed a planned ownership and management transition process with Benito Martinez-Creel, the founder of Acento. Orci is now the new owner and the first executive of Los Angeles based Advertsiing Agency Acento.
