Synchronica Wins First Contract in Latin America

Synchronica (News - Alert) offers carrier-grade e-mail and synchronization services for virtually all mass market feature phones and smartphones. The company claims that service providers in emerging and developed markets use Synchronica products to offer mobile e-mail, PIM synchronization, and backup and restore services to consumer and business subscribers.

Under the new deal with Entel PCS, Synchronica will serve almost 6 million Chile subscribers with its latest services. Entel PCS leads the main financial, brand and service indicators in Chile and partners with Empresa Nacional de Telecomunicaciones S.A., the largest telecommunication company in Chile that provides mobile, data and IT, and internet services, local and long-distance telephony services.

The new agreement with Synchronica will help Entel to focus more on value added services as a way of increasing overall subscriber revenues and improving customer loyalty.

As per the company sources, this is the first win for Synchronica’s strategic partner, Brightstar, which was appointed in February 2008 to promote Synchronica Mobile Gateway (News - Alert) in high-growth regions such as Latin America.
